Gettin' creative

I've been slowly working on my scrapbook pages. Here are two recent ones. I really like how they turned out!

My sister-in-law is getting married this summer (Congrats Samantha!). I made her a wedding notebook to help her stay organized through all the chaos! It turned out super cute, I can't wait to give it to her. Hopefully she will like it. The pictures aren't very good, but hopefully it will give you an idea of what it looks like!
Front cover of the notebook
I put in some dividers and labeled them: Invitations, Ceremony, Reception, Attire, and Registry.
In the front pocket I put a notebook and a big fluffy pen so she can right down ideas and suggestions!
I've been discovering how much I love creating things like this notebook. I wish I could think of more projects to do like this! Suggestions?

Week of firsts

We've had quite the week of firsts....Aiden got his first tooth on Friday (HURRAY!), the twins are slowly starting to get to see the outside world (we are able to start taking them more places now! YAY!), I got my first Migraine and CT scan on Friday, and had my first MRI today. I have decided that I am not fond of enclosed spaces. When they did the CT scan on Friday, the radiologist noticed that there was a small 9mm cyst in the middle part of my brain, so the doctor ordered a precautionary MRI to make sure everything is a-okay. We should hear back toward the end of the week.

On a happy note, I ordered a CRICUT! They are on sale this week at JoAnn's and Derrick said I could get one for my birthday! I can't wait for it to get here!! I am so excited to make vinyl signs!!

He is such a little ham!

Lots of twin pics!

Yes, that's a blackberry! I know they are only 7 months old, but they have a busy schedule! Just kidding, they LOVE phones, so we gave them an old one (with the battery removed!) to play with.
Water bottles are also a huge hit!

NEW CAR!!

Derrick and I took our car down to the dealership in Yakima Monday to get some safety recalls fixed. While we were waiting we thought we would browse the lot. We'd been talking about getting a bigger car for a while now. The Jetta was so nice, but it was pretty squishy with all of us in the car and there just wasn't room for all the twins' necessities plus any luggage if we were to take a trip. To make a long story short, we found this car and they pretty much made us a deal we could not refuse. Here's our new 2008 Suzuki XL7.

Wacky Wednesday Thought

Isn't it funny how even if the kids are monsters, you can never stay mad at them for long? They always seem to know just when to smile and melt my heart. The angel side always comes out and erases all those monster memories.

Their most monstrous moment has to be when they feed of each other and just scream, for no apparent reason. They're fed, changed, and snuggling with mom, but someone decides something is not right, so they both are squawking at me. At least they are cute monsters!!

My favorite angelic moment is when the twins are sleeping. My ultra favorite is when they fall asleep in my arms.

Tuesday Thoughts

Today I'm hoping to tackle organizing baby clothes, more laundry, and getting over my creative block on my scrapbook page. It's been holding me back and I'm going to jump over it!

When my sister came back from Utah, she this fun project to show me that she learned from my ultra crafty Aunt Julie. They are super easy and look super cute! Julie--if you have any more fun projects like this, send them my way! Here's the frame I made.

This is a picture of a wall in our living room. I found these at a cute craft boutique and had to get them. I can't wait to go back and see what other treasures I can find.
I have another project my sister and I worked on, but I don't want to post it until after Valentines Day in case the person who will be receiving it reads the blog. I think it turned out fantastic!
Have a fun day!

Gettin' Crafty

I was able to complete a few projects the past couple of days. Here's a look at what I've done:

Whoo---A scrapbook page! FINALLY! I've had a bit of creative block lately!

My first attempt at using brads and epoxy buttons! Pretty fun! The pic didn't turn out very well, but it's just a note that says "Thinking of You" with a flower epoxy button and two blue brads.
I bought Derrick a funny card for Valentine's day, but I wanted to give him a romantical one as well, so I made the nice one. The front is just a puzzle piece and the inside says "You are the piece that completes me" Hopefully he'll like it!
I can't have a post without pictures of the twins, so here two cute ones!

I love this one!!!

Paper is for eating

As I've mentioned before, Addison loves to grab and eat EVERYTHING. Yesterday she wanted to be at the table while we were eating, so I let her have a paper plate. It was delicious!

Her Uncle Ryan also loved to eat paper products when he was little so I am sure he is proud of his little niece!

Daddy Love

Derrick has had some pretty long days (and nights!) the past few days so he hasn't gotten to see the twins too much. After dinner with my dad last night, I told Aiden and Addison that we were going home to see daddy. Aiden talked the whole way home--which he NEVER does. He was so excited to see his daddy he wouldn't go to sleep. He just wanted to hang out and play with Derrick. While they were playing, I snapped these cute pictures!
Aiden wore his daddy out!!

Addicted to blogging?

I think I am addicted to blogging!! Is there such a think as being addicted to blogging? I keep thinking of things to post and the minute I get free time I'm on here posting away!! Maybe it's because I feel like I'm communicating with the outside world, which I sometimes lose when I'm home all day talking baby talk! I should be using this free time to scrapbook or clean the house! Hmmm....

Taking a stroll

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful outside, so I bundled the twins up and we went for a walk. It was their first ride in the stroller without having to be in their car seats! They are big and strong enough to sit up in the stroller!

Testing out the stroller

All bundled up. Aiden looks a little nervous!! Ready to roll!

Our favorite songs

Aiden and Addison love to sing. A few of our all-time favorites are:

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Row Your Boat

The Itsy-Bitsy Spider
Rock-a-bye baby
Pat-a-cake
Angel Lullaby
Baby Bumble Bee
Zipity Do Da

It is so adorable when they start singing along! We also like to make up songs with their names in them. The best part is they don't care how good (or bad) your voice sounds--they just love to sing!

Valentine's Photos

My mom got the twins some adorable Valentine's day outfits. Of course I've already had them wear them and they looked so sweet I just had to get pictures of them. Here are few of my favorites!!

Cranky Babies

Today is a cranky day times 2! Both Aiden and Addison are cranky today. They feed off each other which makes today a CRAZY day! I will try to get back on and post later, but don't hold your breath!

Photo Genie

Sometimes I wish I could have a photo genie and whenever a great photo op comes along he could snap the pictures. For example, today I was holding both Aiden and Addison. Aiden started crying so Addison put her fingers in his mouth! It was the cutest thing ever! Wouldn't a photo genie be the perfect addition to life?!
