6 month check up

The twins had their 6 month check up on Wednesday! I can't believe they are already that old! The doctor said they are doing fantastic and if she didn't read that they were preemies on their chart, she never would have known! Hurray!

Aiden's Stats:
Weight: 18 lbs 2 3/4 oz - 70% percentile
Height: 26 in - 30% percentile
Head: 17 in - 40% percentile

Addison's Stats:
Weight: 14 lbs 5 oz- 25% percentile
Height: 24 3/4 in- 25% percentile
Head: 16 in - 5% percentile

They also got their 6 month shots! OUCH!

Aiden woke up with a 103 degree temperature at 3:00 am on Thursday morning. We called the doctor and she told us to watch it and then call in the morning. When he woke up in the morning, he had a 104 degree temperature. I called the doctor and she had us come in. Poor Aiden has an ear infection. We got some medicine and he seems to be doing a lot better today. He was pretty cranky last night, but his daddy helped out a ton and was able to soothe him to sleep. Hopefully Aiden will be feeling like himself again soon!

Have a great weekend!

Clothing Optional

One of Aiden's favorite things is to not wear clothes. I think he purposely spits up on them in hopes that I will run out of clothes to put him in. I know he's looking forward to summer when he can run around without any clothes on, but by then he will probably have figured out how to take off his diaper! YIKES! Watch out world!

Craft Room

Here's a look at my craft room

I love how it turned out!! There's lots of space. I'm hoping to get the rest of my stuff out of the totes and organized. I'll put more pictures of the rest of the room when it's complete. I love being by the window and having my sunlamp! Pure bliss!
Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!

Busy Busy Busy

Here's a look at what the kiddos have been up to lately.

Playing with spoons, trying new foods and lots and lots of playing! The animals they are playing with are the stuffed animals Derrick and I got them while they were in the NICU in Spokane.

Let the organizing begin

So my fantastic husband got me some organizational cubes and shelves from Craft Warehouse for my early Valentine's and part birthday present! YAY! I spent yesterday assembling them and finishing it up this morning. I'm now on a mission to organize all my craft stuff. Now I just have to figure out how I want everything! Such decisions! I'll be sure to post pictures when I am finished!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Scrapbooking

Okay, this is my 3rd post today. If that doens't deserve a medal, I don't know what does! When the twins are napping and sometimes after they go to bed, I try to get busy scrapbooking.

I thought I'd start by just making one scrapbook. I tried to find an album that wasn't too boyish or girlish. I think it is super cute.

Here are a couple of my pages. I started off pretty simple and basic, but I'm finding lots of neato stuff at the scrapbook stores and I am just going with it. I really love the chipboard products. I love how they "pop" on the pages.

I'm still working on finding ways to organize my stash (what a scrapbook term! I'm learning the lingo!). Hopefully I can get a babysitter and get some shopping done sometime soon! Now if only I could have an unlimited craft cash supply life would be perfect!

Have a happy Friday and a GREAT weekend!

Snuggling with Aiden

While Addison was busy exploring, Aiden and I were busy cuddling. He loves to be held and have attention all the time, while Addison is a little more independent. She does have her "I just want to be held" days. It's so neat how different they are, but so similar at the same time.

Adventures of Addi

Addison is so busy and curious. She's so much fun to watch. Here are some pictures from her latest adventures!

What a joy she is to have. We love her so much!!

Bath time and other fun moments

Aiden is in this new phase (at least I hope it's a phase) where when he gets in the whale bathtub he just screams! I'm not sure where this came from because he used to enjoy his whale time. So I've resorted to getting in the big tub with him so he can get a bath and hopefully show him the water is not scary.
Our latest bath adventure!

Addi really likes to cuddle. She loves to be held and would sit with you for hours! Addison is into everything! She loves to wiggle and check out whatever is around her.

Daddy and Addi have some snuggle time.

Reading mom's scrapbook magazine!

The twins are getting so big and doing so many amazing things. Addison rolls from back to tummy and tummy to back. She's working on scooting herself, soon she'll be crawling. Aiden can sit up by himself, you have to sit him up but he takes it from there. They both love to hold onto your fingers and stand up. Aiden shows off his sitting pose!

I'm working on organizing the office/craft room. Right now all my scrapbooking and craft supplies are in two big totes, which makes it hard to know what I have. I bought a couple of cute plastic baskets from the Dollar Tree, but now I don't know where to put the baskets. GRR. I am open to any suggestions for organizing!

Have a happy Thursday!

(P.S. if you didnt' notice, I have now posted 3 days in a row! I'm going strong!)

Day Two

Yahoo! It's day two and I'm creating a post! It only takes 21 days to make a habbit right?

Yesterday afternoon was rough, the twins were both very cranky, Addi kept crying everytime I put her down. Sometimes I wish I had more hands, like an octopus. There's something about two screaming kids that pull on your heartstrings, it makes me feel horrible when I don't know what is wrong or how to fix it. Luckily Derrick was able to come home when I called him at 6:00 pm and he cheered them up. He's such a good dad!

We got some fun video footage of Aiden going crazy in his jumparoo horse. When he's in the mood, he loves to go play in it!
Isn't he the cutest lil' cowboy? Isn't she sweet?

Addi is so curious about EVERYTHING! She wants to touch it, hold it and put it in her mouth. It's so fun to watch both of them learn. You can actually see them learn something, it's so fasinating. They are like little sponges.

Well, the bosses are telling me it's time for food. Happy Wednesday!

Okay, I admit..

Obviously I am a horrible blogger! Hopefully I can work on just posting a little something each day! We've moved to Ellensburg (in case you didn't know!) We are in a fantastic little house in a great neighborhood. Our house!
Derrick is loving his job and I am loving staying home with the twins. They definitely keep me busy. Since they were preemies, we are supposed to keep them out of public places during cold and flu season. That has definitely been challenging. I miss being able to just go places without having to find a babysitter (usually mom, dad, or Derrick). I miss going to the store with Derrick! It will definitely be strange to take the babies to the store though. I'm not sure how I'm going to manage two, plus a cart!

Aiden on his Lion he got for Christmas! He loves that thing!

Addison in her walker--another big hit from Christmas!

Aiden and Addison love their "cookies"! They are working on starting foods. So far we've conquered rice cereal, bananas, peaches and cookies. Whoo Hoo. Later this week we are doing squash!
