Close To My Heart just relased their new Idea Book for the fall and oh my goodness are there some amazing new products!

Administrative Professional Day

D was in charge of Admin gifts this year, so that meant I got to make something! I made these cute bags from the Art Philosophy Cartridge (A Close To My Heart exclusive).  It was my first time using the cartridge and I LOVED it. So easy to make these (which was good, since it was a late night project!). 

The bags were filled with candy and included a little note that said:
You are such a “lifesaver”! We appreciate your “Mounds” of knowledge and your com“mint”ment to us. You’re worth “100 Grand”. If only we could give you an extra “Payday”! Happy Admin Day!

I've been a blog slacker! Pardon my random blogs while I attempt to get "caught" up and reorganized!!

1 year

June 21st was my 1 year anniversary with the County!  I'm so lucky to have such a great job with fantastic coworkers!  I can't beleive it's already been a year since I went back to work.   It was such a great decision for our family.  The kids and I are both thriving!!

Hives!

All the sudden Addison broke out in blotchy spots!!  We found out that she is allergic to amoxacilian! Poor girl!  She had just finished the antibiotic for an ear infection and then she ended up with spots.

Christmas 2010

In sticking with tradition, we took a picture of the kids for our Christmas cards.  This year proved to be a bit difficult -- they did not want to hold still!!  Here's a few of our attempts..... 



Derrick totally surprised me and got me a Cricut Expression for Christmas! He kept it a secret the whole time and conspired with his family!! YAY! Thanks Honey!

My sister needed a gift for one of her friends who is getting married this weekend. Here's what I came up with!! This was my first time etching -- I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Today's Adventures

I know I'm WAAAY behind in blogging (and yes, that's probably THE understatement of the year) but I really wanted to write this down before I forgot!!

While the kiddos were supposed to be down for naps,  I checked on them and they were on top of the changing table without their diapers and Aiden has diaper cream all over his hair, face, and clothes. He loves to put everything in his hair -- I guess he thinks it's hair gel! Once I got that cleaned up and everyone re-diapered, I checked on them again. Addi fell asleep by the door and Aiden has his top half covered with a blanket, but not his bottom half. Plus he had taken his diaper off again so he was totally naked! I knew that would not be a happy ending if I just left him, so I had to sneak in without hitting Addi with the door and then put a diaper on him. Luckily they both stayed asleep!!!

Adventures with A&A

We've been meeting up with a mommy friend and her little boy every week. Last week we hit up the local lake that has a great walking trail through the woods.  All the kiddos LOVED exploring. We didn't make it too far down the trail, but it was great to be outside and exploring.  The kiddos love their friend M.  Here's some pictures from our day!

In our little green wagon.  Aiden and Addison got a green wagon for their birthday last year from Great Grandpa.  They still LOVE it. Now they can get it out themselves and pull it around the house!  Here's some cute shots I got of them the other day.
